However, it's quite rare to see a breaching and even rarer to capture it on film.
The depth of the water around the island gives the shark enough space for a vertical rush upwards at the seal on the surface. Elsewhere where the water is shallow, Great Whites typically catch seals in a horizontal rush.
If the chosen prey becomes aware of the shark's presence and turns to face it, the shark will not usually attempt the attack.
Their highly sophisticated templates have remained virtually unchanged for the past 70 million years.
And then a female shark will not produce great deals of offspring. They breed only every two years and each female gives birth to just 4-6 pups at a time.

Shark breaching is seldom seen or filmed.

Great White sharks prefer attacking seals horizontally when the water is deep.

If a seal notices a shark and faces it, the shark often continues its attack.

Sharks' template has stayed nearly the same for a long time.

Sharks produce a large number of offspring at a time.

3D printing is part of a process known as additive manufacturing, where an object is created by adding material layer by layer.
Additive manufacturing allows designers to create complex parts for machines, airplanes, and cars at a fraction of the cost and time of standard means like forging, molding, and sculpting.
The first step in 3D printing is to create a blueprint of the object you want to print.
You can use modeling software like Blender to create your own designs.
You can visit websites like Thingiverse or Shapeways to find objects other users have 3D modeled.
When the printer receives the data, it pulls the material through a tube, melts it, and deposits it to the plate, where it instantly cools.
The most common material used in 3D printing is plastic.
Additive manufacturing has allowed for the creation of some pretty intricate treats.
In the medical world, doctors are testing bio-materials for regenerative medicine.
Some surgeons have even tested 3D printed organs for transplants.

3D PRINTING
The 3D printing process builds an object by (6) ______ material layer by layer, which is why it is also called additive manufacturing. This method is more economical and time-saving compared to (7) ______ such as forging, molding and sculpting. The first step in 3D printing involves creating a (8) ______ of the 3D modeled object. This can be done either by using (9) ______ like Blender to create your own designs or by finding objects on (10) ______ such as Thingiverse and ShapeWaze. Once the data has been transmitted to the printer, the material is pulled, melted and deposited to the (11) ______ where the cooling process takes place. The most popular 3D printing material is (12) ______. Additive manufacturing has helped create some pretty (13) ______ treats. 3D printing also has practical values in the medical sector where (14) ______ are tested to invent regenerative medicine. Several surgeons have tested 3D printed organs for (15) ______.

(14) ______ are tested… regenerative medicine

FAY: On the one hand, you've got a group that's finding GM foods to be quite safe, and actually applauds them as a way of dealing with food shortages in certain countries. Then there's another view that condemns them as potentially dangerous to health and insufficiently trialled, whilst at the same time pointing out that the use of GM crops hasn't actually made a dramatic difference to levels of food production worldwide. In my view, it's high time that science spoke with one voice on this issue.
GEORGE: Organic foods are one way round that. They don't come cheap, though, so it's not currently an option for low-income groups, although that could come if mass production brings economies of scale.
GEORGE: I know the idea [of vertical farming] sounds a bit far-fetched, pie in the sky we might say, but it's not impossible that this vision might become a reality one day.
FAY: To me, it seems like [nanotechnology] will confuse the picture even more as regards what we're putting in our stomachs. What will be classified as ingredients?
GEORGE: Yes, you're not wrong there.
FAY: Like if you set up a self-sufficient small holding or farm, you've got to be prepared to deal with an incredible barrage of rules and red tape and you've no choice but to toe the line.

TikTok

TikTok is a social media platform that allow users to create short videos of themselves that can be edited using music, filters and effects. The rise of TikTok can be attributed with its appeal to younger audiences who enjoy its user-friendly interface, entertaining content and opportunities for self-expression. TikTok has quickly become a cultural phenomenon, with its popular skyrocketing in recent years. As of 2021, the app has over one billion active users worldwide, making it one of the most popular social media platform in the world. Its prevalence has also led to the rise of TikTok influencers who use the platform to reach a wider audience and promote products as well as services. The app has become particularly popular among young adults who appreciate its ability to showcase their creativity, humour and talents. TikTok's algorithm also plays a significant role in its success, as it allows users to discover new content that is tailored to their interests and preferences. TikTok's rise has not been without controversy, however. Some have risen concerns about the app's potential to compromise privacy and spread misinformation. Though these concerns, TikTok continues to be in widespread use among all ages around the world.

Animal behaviorists used to think that a dog's bark was simply a way of (51) ______ attention. Now a new study suggests that dogs have specific barks, and that they vary the pitch and pace of these to convey different messages. The scientists who (52) ______ out the research are now suggesting that dogs usually use high-pitched single barks when they are separated from their owners and a lower, harsher superbark when strangers move towards them or the doorbell rings. During their research, the scientists also wondered what other abilities dogs possessed; for example, were they (53) ______ to recognize quantity? To test this, the dogs were first shown treats before a screen was lowered so that the treats were out of sight. Then the treats were either left as they were, added (54) ______ reduced. If a treat was added or taken away, the dogs looked at them for longer, presumably because the numbers did not (55) ______ their expectations. The scientists concluded that dogs know they are receiving fewer treats because they have a basic mathematical ability that enables them to tell when one pile of objects is bigger than (56) ______. This ability may present because dogs are (57) ______ from wolves, which not only have a large neocortex – the brain center of reasoning, but also live in large social groups. What would happen if the rainforests suddenly disappeared? It would signal the collapse of ecosystems as we know them, leading to (59) ______ environmental damage. Earth is a vast and interconnected system, and we rely significantly on the rainforests for our survival. Rainforests are often called the lungs of the planet because they absorb carbon dioxide, a major greenhouse gas, and produce oxygen. (60) ________, the destruction of the rainforests would result in an increase in harmful atmospheric gases, which would, in turn, accelerate global warming. Apart from maintaining a (61) ________ climate, rainforests are the natural habitat for millions of species and provide shelter to tribes who have no contact (62) ________ the outside world. Another vital function of the rainforests is the (63) ________ of precipitation. As they absorb sunlight, plants (64) ________ moisture into the atmosphere through their leaves. This moisture creates rain clouds. When forests are cut down, less moisture is released into the atmosphere, reducing rainfall and leading to drought. Moisture created by the rainforests travels around the globe. For instance, rainfall in southeastern Europe can be influenced by forests in Asia. Rainforests are disappearing at an (65) ________ rapid rate. We must take action to plant trees in areas where they have been cleared and we should also (66) ________ sustainable practices that do not harm the environment.

Central Vietnamese cuisine is famous for its bold, spicy flavors, while Southern cooking tends to be sweeter and often incorporates plenty of herbs and vegetables.

A fundamental aspect of Vietnamese dining is the communal sharing of meals, which fosters a sense of togetherness and community. Traditional family meals often include multiple dishes placed at the center of the table, encouraging shared enjoyment and interaction. This practice reflects the cultural value placed on family bonds and collective harmony.

The balance between sweet, sour, salty and spicy flavors is a hallmark of Vietnamese dishes, reflecting the country's culinary philosophy of harmony.
